Ok, ok! I wasn’t going to do any Fall Color stuff in 2014. However, while at my parent’s home, it begged me to, so I grabbed my Canon Pocketshot and grabbed a few. So here they are.
The music for this page is Elemental by Tears for Fears. All my friends and I hated them when they first broke in 1985, but over the years I have discovered that Roland Orzabal is a musical genius. This 1993 CD features some amazing, moody, Fall songs, including “Mister Pessimist” and “Elemental”, plus the hit “Break It Down Again” …but the entire CD is worthy of a front-to-back sitting.
A tree in front of my parent’s home. I was playing with Max when I saw how the sun was reflecting here, and grabbed my ever-present Pocketshot. I wish I had my Nikon D5K, but the Canon did ok.
Another tree; this time from a different (opposite) angle. It’s all about the light.
Looking up at 2 trees in my parent’s front yard. Or maybe it was their neighbor’s yard? I dunno…
A plastic pumpkin stands guard at their front door. I like the color and he looks friendly enough.
Some flowers by the road in front of their house. Pocket cameras seem to do a very nice job on flora.
No, ISIS didn’t get to Max. Poor Dog! He has an eye infection so he’s the Coned Warrior for a while. ISIS wouldn’t stand a chance against him; let them try to take away his Devil Ball!
Looks like it’s time to clean my instrument cluster.
Back home, here’s a shot of my neighbor’s tree.
None of these are spectacular; I have certainly done better Fall Color work. However, I felt the need to display them here. In a few weeks the trees will be bare, so it’s good to have some record of what the Fall of 2014 looked like.
