April 27, 2014 Rain

Another dreary day; nothing but the rain.  Here are 2 shots (no music for this page; just the sound of the hydro-meteors)…

APR_27_2014__001aNikon D5000 with a Tamron SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC USD lens shot at F/5.6 and a 1/320 of a second shutter speed.  ISO 1600.  Focal length: 300mm (APS-C).  IMAGE CROPPED.

A puddle in my yard.  The ISO in the metadata is not a typo.  It was so dreary I needed to go that high to get the shot.  I did some cropping to this quasi-panoramic.

APR_27_2014__002aNikon D5000 with a Tamron SP 70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di VC USD lens shot at F/5.6 and a 1/60 of a second shutter speed.  ISO 200.  Focal length: 300mm.

Water drops on my window.  You think I’m going outside when it’s cold and rainy?  I shot at 300mm to really narrow the depth of field and shot aperture wide open as well.  I converted this to monochrome in post-processing (of course), but my original intent when I shot it was to go black and white.

The forecast says nothing but rain and below-average temperatures all week.
